Scope and Contents This box contains 56 file folders relating to six series: The Committee for Interim Missions (CIM); The Committee for Mission Expansion (CME); Christ the King Lutheran Church of Nigeria; The Lutheran Church of Cameroon (LCC); Mission Fields in India; Various World Mission Fields Ministered to by the CME.
Scope and Contents This series consists of meeting minutes and reports to the CIM from 1987-1989. Also included is correspondence between the CIM and world mission fields during that same time period. Information on the restructuring of the CIM into the CME can be found in materials for 1989. Scope and Contents Records consist of documents collected by Professor Harold Johne during his time as a member of the CIM and as chairman of the CME. The vast majority of the materials regard the activities of the CME from 1990-1992. Included are meeting minutes, planning documents, and budget reports. The bulk of the records, however, is correspondence between the CME and world mission fields around the globe. Scope and Contents The collection contains materials related to the WELS World Missions in Japan. Beginning in 1952 with the exploration of mission work in Japan through to the late 1980s, this collection contains reports, correspondence, ictures, surveys, slides, and other materials related to our synod's mission work in Japan.
