Pastor Frederic Nitz was born in Watertown, WI May 12, 1922. His father, Henry Nitz, was a missionary in Apacheland. Frederic lived there in his early years, then Rockford MN, when Henry took a call. Frederic attended high school at DMLC his freshmen year, then went to NWC for the next 7 years. He graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 1948 and was called as a missionary to the Apache in Whiteriver and later Cibecue. From there he went to Hendricks Minnesota (Trinity?) 1952-1955? Then to a tri-parish Cochrane, Cream, Buffalo City Wisconsin 1955-1959. He served St. John's New Ulm, MN from 1959-1978 and Our Savior's Lutheran in Sun City, AZ from 1978-1992? Frederic retired to Watertown WI and passeda way Nov. 25 2002 at the age of 80. His wife Grace passed away 3/7/2019 at the age of 90.
